homepage of Readable Cad
written by Shane O Donnell

Readable cad was created to allow the user to build their
own 3D world out of triangle shaped surfaces .
The reason it is called Readable Cad is because it uses a
human-readable file format , unlike other competing CAD programs
which use cryptic file formats impossible for a human to read .
The triangles are stored in a text file , called in.txt
In order to run readable cad on your computer , you will need to
download 2 files :

http:members.fortunecity.com/readablecad/readablecad.exe
and
http:members.fortunecity.com/readablecad/in.txt
First time users should also download the file
http:members.fortunecity.com/readablecad/userguide.txt

These files should be saved on your c drive as:

c:/readablecad/readablecad.exe
c:/readablecad/in.txt
c:/readablecad/userguide.txt
respectively .

Troubleshooting
You may now start the program by clicking on c:/readablecad/readablecad.exe
Please note that the program has been designed to run on a modern computer
with:
Windows 95 or later
DirectX 7 or later
and a monitor capable of a resolution of 1024 by 768 by 32

If your computer was bought recently , it will probably have windows XP and directX version 9 ,
so it should work fine . If your computer is older , it may not have directX , so you will
have to visit microsoft's website and download the latest version of directX , which is free .
